WHO'S THAT GIRL?

As I watch the "invinvicble summer" slide show (at right) over and over again, and as I marvel at how tan and vivacious and gosh-darn happy I look hangin' with my peeps just 4 1/2 short months ago, I can't help but wonder...

Who IS that girl?

Certainly, she can't be the same pale, tired, emotionally-drained bag-lady-like hag who just this a.m. was donned in an oversized winter coat, a bright orange winter hat and snowman jammies with a green clay facial mask smeared over her line-etched face who was swearing (and holding on to her dog's leash for dear life) as that damnable rat terrier dragged the ol' life-worn gal slip slidin' away around the frozen Iowa tundra, also known as "the front yard."

Alas, sadly, she is one in the same.

Slip slidin' away,
Slip slidin' away
You know the nearer your destination
You're only slip slidin' away...

Thank God Suz, it is not just me...I am starting to have dreams about being rejected and abandoned by her :) I think we should just keep posting until we get attention!

Okay, Okay...ease up on ol'Annie would ya...geesh...the last email I got from you, Miss Suz, was regarding KK and his recent Menlo adventures as reported in the Guthrie Center Times...and I did reply...so there...And, yes, Stoney, I hate ice and winter...how well you know that!

And anonymous...my apologies for the dreams...I am really not trying to or intending to reject or abandon anyone...just in survival mode...I'm pretty much just eating --and eating -- and sleeping and working and once a week or so I attempt to blog...it's a wonderful life.

Suz, I have been wondering how the job hunting is going...coontown is icy and a guy with a cute little dog stopped me at the grocery store and was asking if I had talked with you...

Stoney...when's the next cruise? How's the fam? Lovin' the holidays? Arghghghghgh...

Anonymous...what's new with you...how's tricks?

Excuse me while I go grab another cookie...
